The Aqsyanna Cahaya Insani non-profit Foundation was established in November 2014 by Mrs. Ira Yuli- Yanti Ingram, fully supported by her husband Ian, a UK national and Moslem convert. At the heart of Ira’s vision was the notion of a ‘Rumah Al-Qur’an’, a facility open to those who love, believe and trust in the Holy Qur’an, and who seek spiritual inspiration and guidance from its divine message.

Alhamdulillah on 22 January 2020, by the grace of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala, Mrs. Ira’s dream was realised with the formal inauguration of the newly-constructed ‘Rumah Al-Qur’an Aqsyanna’, set among leafy gardens and teakwood trees at an idyllic 6,500 m2 site on Jl. W.R. Supratman, Cempaka Putih, Ciputat, Banten. This tranquil location embodies a close connection with nature and the environment and, in turn, with The Almighty. This in accordance with the blessed Book as revealed to the Prophet Muhammad (may peace be upon Him).  

The RAQ Aqsyanna has thus become the central focus for the Foundation’s wide range of activities: spiritual, educational, charitable and recreational, with a particular emphasis on providing guidance and assistance to Moslem converts (‘muallaf’), to the younger generation and to those Moslems who, for whatever reason, have ‘lost touch’ with the Holy Qur’an.

The success of these efforts and activities are very much dependent upon the support and encouragement of Aqsyanna’s partner institutions and organisations, in particular the various youth groups who are active at the Rumah Al-Qur’an, the provincial and district authorities and the local community at large. With the blessing and guidance of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala, In syaa Allah the Yayasan Aqsyanna Cahaya Insani looks forward to the continuation of this journey together. Bismillah, Allahu Akbar.
